Jordan expected to face weather instability

The Public Security Directorate issued a cautionary alert regarding the heightened risk of skidding while driving, particularly in desert areas and on highways. This advisory coincides with Jordan experiencing a period of weather instability and precipitation.

Jamal Al-Mousa, a weather forecasting consultant at Arabia Weather, previously indicated that Jordan would be under the influence of unstable weather conditions on Wednesday, leading to fluctuating weather patterns, including the likelihood of rain showers in various regions. These changes are a result of the lingering effects of Hurricane Daniel.

In his discussion with Roya, Mousa further noted that the morning weather would be moderately warm across most areas, with intermittent increases in northwestern winds, potentially leading to the dispersion of dust and sand particles.

He highlighted the expectation of rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and the possibility of hail around noon on Wednesday. These conditions heighten the risk of water accumulation in valleys, potentially causing flash floods and raising concerns about road safety.

Temperatures are predicted to remain relatively mild on Thursday, both during the daytime and nighttime hours. However, Mousa anticipates a rise in temperatures on Friday and Saturday.

Mousa also pointed out that weather maps indicate that central and northern regions of Jordan are likely to experience rainfall, though the intensity of these showers may vary from one area to another.
