Mild Autumn weather, chance of rain forecasted in Jordan

Jordan’s Meteorological Department forecasts mild temperatures in the highlands and plains today, Wednesday, with moderate weather across the rest of the kingdom. Some low-lying clouds are expected to appear.

Evening Forecast and Warnings

Overnight, the weather will become cool in most areas, with a slight chance of light rain showers in limited parts of northern Jordan during the late-night hours. The department has issued a warning for the early morning due to the possibility of fog reducing visibility on high northern highlands.

Weekend Weather Outlook

On Thursday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies at times over northern and central Jordan. Light rain showers are forecast for the north and limited parts of the central and eastern regions. Northwesterly winds will be active at times, kicking up dust in desert areas.

The weather is expected to stabilize again for the weekend. On Friday and Saturday, the weather will be pleasant in the highlands and plains and moderate in other areas. Overnight, conditions will be relatively cold in most regions and mild in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
