Jordan records 111 deaths and 6,570 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 111 deaths and 6,570 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 611,577.

The death toll has risen to 6,858.

The cases are: 

-2,720 in Amman

-1,110 in Irbid, including 118 in Ramtha

-546 in Zarqa

-443 in Balqa

-343 in Mafraq

-286 in Karak

-258 in Ajloun

-251 in Aqaba

-220 in Jerash

-156 in Tafilah

-138 in Ma'an, including 20 in Petra

-72 in Madaba

A total of 441 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 368 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 91,575 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 9,192 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 513,144.

There are 3,350 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 43,158 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 5,918,158.

Wednesday, 15.22 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 15.71 percent on Tuesday.
