The director of Zarqa New Governmental Hospital, Mabrouk Al-Sreihin, confirmed to Roya Monday that the hospital’s oxygen supply is sufficient for 48 hours, noting that it is one of the best stocks of oxygen in the Kingdom.

Sreihin explained that the hospital is supplied with oxygen once or twice daily, through mobile tanks.

He pointed out that the average daily admission to the hospital ranges between 300-400 patients, noting that there are currently 80 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in the hospital.

Earlier Monday, the Director of the Amman Field Hospital, Khaldoun Allawin, revealed that the oxygen alarm system went off for a few seconds early in the day. However, in statements to Roya, he said that the warning had been registered according to the procedures followed in such instances.

Allawin confirmed that the oxygen-related alarm system is currently being checked to find out the cause of the alarm going off, which took seconds, although the tank capacity was at 100 percent.
