The Department of Antiquities began the preservation process of the archaeological discoveries that were found Dec. 12, during excavation work for a water draining system in downtown Amman.

The government decided to suspend work on the project and re-cover all findings, based on the recommendations of the specialized and impartial advisory committee, which was formed with members from the Ministry of Tourism and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM).
