The Epidemiological Investigation Committee in Jerash has shut down 39 shops that dealt with an ice cream distributor infected with coronavirus.

The Jerash Governorate Health Director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qadiri, said that shop owners were swabbed for the virus to maintain the public health and safety of citizens.

Qadiri urged owners who have come into contact with the infected individual to get tested to ensure they have not contracted the virus.

He confirmed that there are no other corona cases in Jerash, adding that there are two cases of truck drivers who were examined at the borders and are currently receiving treatment at hospital.
