The Mafraq Health Department has tested today 28 people for COVID-19 from the medical staff working in the emergency and Intensive Care Unite (ICU) at the Gynecology and Pediatrics Hospital.

In a statement, the Hospital's Director, Hani Olaimat, said the Department will follow the same procedure in all hospitals operating in the governorate, namely the Mafraq Public Hospital, Ruwaishid Hospital and the Northern Badia Hospital.

"The samples will be sent to the King Abdullah University Hospital," Olaimat mentioned.

He added that the measures aim at protecting medical personnel's and citizens' health and safety and curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, stressing that they will be completed within two days.
