Body of young girl found in Mafraq, investigation underway

Authorities in the northeastern Jordanian city of Mafraq have launched an investigation after the body of a girl was discovered Monday evening under unclear circumstances.

According to a security source, a report was filed at the Mafraq Police Station alerting authorities to the presence of a lifeless body. Security units responded immediately to the location and cordoned off the area.

The body was examined at the scene and subsequently transferred to the forensic medicine center to determine the cause of death. Initial assessments indicated no signs of struggle or physical assault, the source confirmed.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are awaiting the results of the forensic examination before releasing further details.
