There are no plans to isolate the neighborhood where the nurse infected with coronavirus lives in Irbid, the governorate’s head of the Epidemiology Committee Ali Al-Zetawi said today.

Zetawi stated that the nurse stayed at his home in Azmi al-Mufti camp in Irbid for a short period of time, coming from Amman where he works at a private hospital.

"As a reassuring indication, the patient had direct contact with a limited number of his family members, who will all be isolated along with people who had close contact with them," the official said.

Furthermore, Zetawi said that 150 samples collected yesterday by the epidemiological inspection teams are being tested, noting that the samples were taken from people who had contact with the infected truck driver and the owners of the shops that he went to, in addition to those who had close contact with him.

"Results of samples taken from 84 people who were the closest to the driver were negative, an indication that the rest of the samples will be negative too," he added.
