A new coronavirus case was recorded in the Irbid governorate today, the first confirmed infection with the virus in the northern region in about ten days.

The official overseeing coronavirus in the northern governorates, Wael Hayajneh told Roya that the new case is of a truck driver in his forties who came to Jordan from a Gulf Arab country on Thursday.

The infected was admitted to the hospital this evening, Hayajneh said.

He confirmed that the northern neighborhood of Irbid, where the case was detected, was completely isolated.
