Jordanian authorities handle old shells found during construction in Irbid

Authorities in Jordan are investigating two old shells discovered by a contractor during excavation work in the city of Irbid.

The contractor reportedly placed the shells in his vehicle and immediately informed the relevant security center. Specialized teams were dispatched to safely handle and dispose of the explosives.

The Public Security Directorate urged anyone who encounters suspicious objects not to touch or move them, to keep a safe distance, and to report the findings to the authorities through the emergency hotline 911.
