The US pharmaceutical regulator approves the drug leucovorin for the treatment of autism, as President Donald Trump unveils a series of announcements, including an unproven link between the condition and the painkiller Tylenol.

"The FDA, based on NIH research, is approving prescription Leucovorin for treatment of autistic children," says Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), during an event at the White House.
