The video has been making rounds on social media, after it coincided with a tweet from the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, in which she posted an AI-generated photo of Trump’s MAGA hate with the Label “Made in China” and the price tag increasing from $50 to $77 – in a nod to the increasing retaliatory tariffs by China and the USA against each other’s products.
The infamous MAGA hat has always been under scrutiny, with many disputing the “made in America claim”.
Despite the market being flooded with copycat hats, the hats Trump sells on his campaign website are labeled with “Made in America.”
Several attempts have been made to identify the origin in the fabric used in the making of the hats, but have not been able to verify whether it is 100% American.
