Iran dismisses Trump's UN threats, warns of "more crushing" response

Iran's armed forces on Wednesday rejected US President Donald Trump's warnings against the country, delivered during his address to the UN General Assembly, saying Tehran remains prepared to retaliate against any further attacks.

In a statement carried by the Mehr News Agency, Iran's General Staff accused Trump of using the UN platform to justify continued aggression against Iran. The statement said, "Such words demonstrate America's strategic dead end in its aggression against the Iranian nation."

The military characterized Trump's repeated threats not as evidence of strength but as "not a sign of power but a sign of their strategic desperation."

Iran's armed forces also cautioned that they stood ready to strike US and ‘Israeli’ targets with force exceeding what was seen earlier in their conflict, describing any future response as harsher, more devastating, and harder to anticipate than previous exchanges.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions following earlier military confrontations between Iran and both the United States and ‘Israel’, with Tehran signaling it views Washington's rhetoric as a sign of weakness rather than leverage.
