Day 206 | Iran warns of ‘painful’ response if US launches new attack

Iran has warned against potential new large-scale military strikes by the United States and its regional allies, claiming to have received intelligence that such an operation is currently being prepared.

The Iranian military central command stated that any new attack would trigger sustained retaliation against US bases and interests across the Middle East, cautioning that Washington's regional partners would be treated as active participants in the conflict.

Amid rising regional tensions, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf rejected immediate diplomatic talks, emphasizing a military-first posture.

"We must push the enemy back and deal devastating blows using our full military might before any negotiations with the United States," Ghalibaf stated.

Concurrently, regional hostilities expanded as the Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen’s Houthis confirmed it intercepted a ballistic missile launched toward the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

Coalition air defenses also foiled a series of coordinated attacks targeting infrastructure and civilian areas across several other key Saudi locations, including Bish, Taif, Farasan, and the Red Sea port city of Yanbu.
