  • Bob Vylan calls for solidarity With Palestine in Oslo concert.

British punk-rap frontman Bobby Vylan called for solidarity with Palestine during a performance in Oslo Saturday, emphasizing that "what's happening over there is a genocide and war crimes".

The artist said, "We have to continue to advocate for a free Palestine so that we may see it within our lifetime", reflecting a solidarity with Palestine that goes beyond just calling for an end to genocide.

He then added that "we must find ways to escalate so that we are heard".

The artist stated that he does not regret standing in solidarity with Palestine and insisted that individuals must actively "utilize every available platform to advocate for Palestinian liberation rather than remaining silent observers".

"We cannot stand idly by," Vylan told the audience, which erupted in cheer and applause.

Vocal pro-Palestinian stance

Vylan’s most recent remarks align with his long-standing pro-Palestinian advocacy, which has consistently placed him at the center of political discourse. The frontman previously drew global attention during a Glastonbury Festival performance after leading crowd chants critical of the 'Israeli' military.

Addressing the subsequent fallout, Vylan clarified that his calls were aimed at dismantling a "violent military machine" responsible for destruction in Gaza, rejecting accusations of targeting any ethnic or religious group.

Though UK law enforcement conducted a review of the Glastonbury set, police ultimately dropped the inquiry after determining there was no criminal breach.
