Authorities in Tafilah Governorate and the Bseira District in south Jordan have suspended school attendance for all students on Thursday due to prevailing weather conditions.

The decision aims to ensure the safety of students and educational staff as Jordan experiences unstable weather.

Satellite imagery shows significant thundercloud activity across wide areas of Jordan, including Irbid in the north, western regions such as Salt and western Amman, as well as the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

The unstable weather is accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity, at times heavy and mixed with hail, along with active thunderstorms and fluctuating surface winds, according to ArabiaWeather.

Meteorologists warned fasting citizens of slippery road conditions and the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas due to intense rainfall.

The Kingdom is expected to remain under the influence of this weather system throughout the day, with chances of showers, lightning, and thunder continuing into the evening.

Authorities urged the public to exercise caution while traveling for Eid preparations and to avoid flood-prone areas to ensure public safety.
