2 hours ago|Jordan’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Ahmad Al-Hasanat, has called on Muslims across the Kingdom to observe the crescent moon marking the start of Shawwal for the year 1447 AH on Thursday evening, corresponding to the 29th of Ramadan and March 19, 2026.
In a statement, Al-Hasanat said fatwa offices throughout Jordan will open their doors to receive citizens wishing to submit testimonies on the sighting of the crescent.
The announcement comes as preparations begin to determine the end of Ramadan and the start of Eid al-Fitr.
