The U.S. Embassy in Jordan issued a statement on Friday saying it is closely monitoring ongoing regional tensions and advising American citizens living in or visiting the country to exercise caution. The embassy emphasized that its operations and staffing remain unchanged, and consular services continue as normal.

In a statement released Friday, the embassy urged all U.S. citizens to exercise heightened personal security, remain vigilant, and stay informed of developments through local media outlets, including Roya News, Petra News, and the Jordan Times. Travelers were also advised to contact airlines directly regarding any potential flight disruptions.

The embassy recommended enrolling in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive timely alerts and make it easier for authorities to locate citizens in case of an emergency. Travelers were reminded to prepare an emergency plan, follow the Department of State on social media, and remain aware of their surroundings. In immediate danger, U.S. citizens are advised to contact Jordanian police at 911.

Additionally, U.S. embassies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and 'Israel' have issued warnings to their citizens, urging them to stay alert amid ongoing regional tensions.
