The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) announced today that Jordan’s aviation sector achieved remarkable growth in 2025, with total passenger numbers exceeding the 10 million mark.

2025 Key Statistics and Figures

Official data revealed a significant surge in passenger traffic compared to the previous year. Total passenger numbers reached 10,013,942, up from 8,969,780 in 2024.

The kingdom’s airspace also saw increased activity, recording 96,790 overflights compared to 76,723 in 2024.

Performance of Jordanian Airports

Air traffic distribution across the kingdom’s airports was highlighted as follows:

Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA): The kingdom's primary gateway handled more than 9.7 million passengers, rising from approximately 8.8 million in 2024.

The figures included 4.96 million arriving passengers and 4.82 million departing passengers.

Total aircraft movements at the facility reached 40,295 arrivals and 40,280 departures.

King Hussein International Airport (Aqaba): The Aqaba-based airport witnessed notable growth, with passenger numbers exceeding 213,000, compared to 161,000 in 2024. The airport recorded 2,240 arriving flights and 2,237 departing flights throughout the year.

Amman Civil Airport recorded 6,150 departing passengers during the year.
