Jordan’s airports have maintained regular operations despite the impact of a high-intensity weather system, the head of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, confirmed Tuesday.
Smooth operations
Al-Farajat said flights at all airports have proceeded without notable delays or cancellations, with arrivals and departures following their scheduled times.
He provided figures for the day:
- Flights: Over 240 flights operated, including arrivals and departures.
- Passengers: More than 26,000 passengers were transported to regional and international destinations.
High readiness, international safety standards
Captain Al-Farajat highlighted that technical and operational teams are fully prepared to handle changing weather conditions. He noted that precautionary plans ensure continuous operations without compromising passenger safety, with 24-hour coordination with meteorological authorities and airport partners.
He emphasized that all decisions regarding air navigation are guided by international safety standards to maintain the highest levels of security.
The announcement comes as some roads in Jordan remain closed or difficult to navigate due to flooding and strong winds, aiming to reassure travelers and their families.
