One dead, 18 injured in 11-vehicle crash in Mafraq

A major traffic accident involving 11 vehicles in the Omari area of Mafraq governorate left one person dead and 18 others injured, authorities said.

The Public Security Directorate spokesperson reported that specialized Civil Defense and police teams responded immediately to the scene. Emergency crews provided first aid to the injured and transported them to Zarqa Governmental Hospital for treatment.

A traffic investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collision, which officials said resulted in multiple body injuries among those involved.

Authorities urged drivers to exercise caution amid busy traffic conditions and ensure road safety.
