The ‘Israeli’ military said in a statement on Tuesday it “eliminated Sultan Al-Ghani”, a Palestinian man accused of killing an ‘Israeli’ settler in the West Bank.
The statement claimed that Al-Ghani was the perpetrator of the attack against ‘Israeli’ settler Gideon Peri on Aug. 18, 2024.
Al-Ghani allegedly assaulted and killed Peri with a hammer, before seizing the settler's personal weapon and vehicle and fleeing the scene.
The army claimed that the operation took place in an area south of Jenin, and also saw the arrest of five other people associated with Al-Ghani.
The forces encircled the building where Al-Ghani was barricaded. Following an exchange of fire, soldiers successfully eliminated the "terrorist," according to the statement.
After searching the building, the ‘Israeli’ military claimed to have found an assortment of weapons, including a ‘Carlo’ style weapon, an M16 weapon, explosives, and magazines with ammunition.
