Medical and local sources reported on Monday that 'Israeli' forces killed a Palestinian and surrounded his home, leaving his body trapped inside and preventing medical teams from reaching him, in eastern Nablus in the northern West Bank, following armed clashes with 'Israeli' forces.

The 'Israeli' army radio announced the targeted killing of the Palestinian suspected of allegedly carrying out a car-ramming attack in Nablus over a year and a half ago, which killed two 'Israeli' soldiers near the Huwwara checkpoint east of the city.

According to the broadcast, the 'Israeli' army struck the building where Abdel Raouf Ishtiyeh was holed up on Amman Street with two missiles.

Palestinian sources confirmed that 'Israeli' forces prevented medical teams from reaching the site of the clashes, while armed confrontations broke out during the raid in eastern Nablus.

The 'Israeli' military and internal security agency (Shin Bet) reported an exchange of fire with armed Palestinians during the operation. Local sources also said that 'Israeli' forces arrested Muhammad Al-Shaf’i and Muhammad Al-Sadda from western Nablus.

In a related development, a fire broke out inside a residential apartment near the Arab Bank branch in the Hasba area of eastern Nablus, caused by 'Israeli' strikes during the siege of one of the resistance members. Palestinian media outlets documented scenes of the armed clashes that erupted during the raids.

Witnesses reported that the 'Israeli' forces had carried out a series of incursions over the past two days, including in the Old City, Ras Al-Ain area, and Huwwara town south of Nablus, conducting house searches and arrests amid a heavy military presence.

These incidents come amid escalating 'Israeli' raids across Palestinian cities and towns in the West Bank and daily attacks by settlers under army protection, which have intensified since the start of 'Israel’s' war in Gaza in October 2023.

The assaults in the West Bank have resulted in 1,066 Palestinians killed, approximately 10,000 injured, and over 20,000 detained, including 1,600 children.
