Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits the Civil-Military Coordination Center in Kiryat Gat on October 29, 2025
'Israel', US working to “disarm Hamas, demilitarize Gaza", says Netanyahu
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged continued cooperation with the United States and other partners to ensure the disarmament of Hamas, during a visit to the joint US-'Israeli' ceasefire headquarters in Kiryat Gat on Wednesday.
During the visit, Netanyahu emphasized that 'Israel’s' “security responsibility for our forces and our freedom of action” in Gaza is recognized by 'Israel’s' partners.
Speaking alongside US CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper, Netanyahu said 'Israel' is committed to achieving the goals set jointly with US President Donald Trump, the disarmament of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza.
“We are working toward this in stages, together with other components of the plan,” Netanyahu said. “There is a real joint effort here, maintaining our security in our own hands, to achieve results that perhaps no one believed we could reach, but we are determined to try.”
He added that President Trump “said it simply: We will either achieve this the easy way, as we hope, or the hard way. But we will achieve what we are determined to achieve.”
Netanyahu was accompanied by IOF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Maj. Gen. Yaki Dolf, the IOF’s liaison to the Civil-Military Coordination Center, Shin Bet Director David Zini, and other senior IOF officers.
