Jordan receives 45 foreign nationals from intercepted Freedom Flotilla

Jordan said Sunday that “45 foreign nationals who were on board the Freedom Flotilla have arrived in the kingdom via the King Hussein Bridge,” according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

Ministry spokesman Fouad Al-Majali said the individuals are citizens of Tunisia, Spain, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Finland, the United States, and Canada.

Al-Majali explained that the ministry, through its Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs, and in cooperation with other Jordanian agencies, facilitated their crossing and provided them with necessary assistance.

The ministry is now coordinating with the embassies of the countries involved to facilitate the departure of their citizens from the kingdom.
