Three Qatari diplomats killed in car crash in Sharm el-Sheikh

Three Qatari diplomats were killed in a car accident on Sunday in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, with two others sustaining injuries, according to two security sources who spoke to Reuters.

It remains unclear whether the diplomats were part of Qatar’s negotiating team, which, alongside Egyptian officials in Sharm el-Sheikh, helped broker earlier this week an agreement between 'Israel' and Hamas as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan.

Sharm el-Sheikh is scheduled to host a global summit on Monday aimed at finalizing an agreement intended to bring an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
