2025 Nobel winner Machado: Vocal supporter of ‘Israel’ and fan of Netanyahu

The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, a far-right, allegedly US-backed figure whose public support for 'Israel' and calls for military aggression against her own country have sparked international controversy.

In a past interview with an 'Israeli' channel that went viral again today, Machado declared: “I believe and I can announce this, that our government will move our embassy to Jerusalem as part of our support for the state of Israel.”

This follows a long history of pro-'Israel' activism: in 2018, she sent a letter to 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging military intervention to overthrow President Nicolás Maduro, who is a well-known staunch supporter of Palestine and has condemned 'Israel' as a fascist regime.

Machado has also signed political agreements with Netanyahu and openly voiced support for 'Israel’s' military operations in Gaza.

Machado, who dedicated her Nobel Prize to both the Venezuelan people and US President Donald Trump in a post on X, is reportedly a huge MAGA fan as well. 

Ignoring all of this, the Norwegian Nobel Committee cited her work for democracy, praising her as a unifying figure in Venezuela’s deeply divided opposition. stating that she has spent more than 20 years advocating for free elections, judicial independence, and human rights.
