According to sources cited by Axios, the summit is being organized by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who has already reached out to several European and Arab leaders.
Expected participants include leaders or foreign ministers from Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not expected to attend, a US official said.
US officials confirmed Trump’s participation, but the White House declined to comment, according to Axios.
The report also stated that Trump is expected to arrive in 'Israel' on Monday morning local time, where he will give a speech in front of the Knesset and meet with captives' families, which was also reported today in Hebrew media.
Later that day, he will travel to Egypt to meet Sisi and take part in a signing ceremony with the other guarantors of the Gaza peace deal: Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.
The leaders summit is likely to take place Tuesday morning in Sharm el-Sheikh, the site of the original negotiations for the peace deal, though the timing could be moved to Monday, the sources said.
