The official emphasized that Hamas is closely monitoring the implementation of the agreement by ‘Israeli’ forces and is prepared for all eventualities, signaling readiness for any potential breach or manipulation of the deal mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
Meanwhile, the ‘Israeli’ army announced the start of a critical 72-hour period, at the end of which the release of captives in Gaza is expected.
In a press briefing, the ‘Israeli’ military spokesperson outlined the next phase, confirming that troops are logistically and operationally prepared to receive the released detainees.
Key points from the ‘Israeli’ army’s position include:
- Field situation: Forces are stationed along the “yellow line” in Gaza and will neutralize any threats that emerge during the ceasefire.
- Warning to released detainees: The army claimed that freeing Palestinian detainees comes at a “high price” and warned that anyone returning to previous activities will face consequences.
- War continues: The spokesperson said that the agreement does not signal the end of the war, noting “the war is not over, and significant challenges remain.”
- Alleged achievements: The army claimed that “Hamas had been defeated everywhere we fought.”
