  • Thousands of Gazans move north as a ceasefire took effect, AFP footage shows.

The ‘Israeli’ military said a ceasefire in Gaza took effect at 0900 GMT on Friday, adding that troops began withdrawing according to Trump's proposal.

Thousands of Gazans began heading north in the territory after the announcement, Agence France-Presse (AFP) footage showed.

News cameras captured queues of men, women and children walking along the coastal road after the start of the truce Friday morning.

However, the 'Israeli' military warned Gazans that many areas are still "extremely dangerous."
