'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he will convene the government on Thursday to approve a deal aimed at ending the Gaza war and securing the release of all remaining captives.

In a statement from his office, Netanyahu hailed the development as “a great day for Israel,” expressing gratitude to the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) and all security personnel, saying, “It is thanks to their courage and sacrifice that we have reached this day.”

Netanyahu also extended “heartfelt thanks” to US President Donald Trump and his team for their role in facilitating the agreement, describing their efforts as dedicated to “this sacred mission of freeing our hostages.”

“Tomorrow I will convene the government to approve the agreement and bring all our dear hostages home,” the premier said, adding, “With God’s help, together we will continue to achieve all our goals and expand peace with our neighbors.”

The announcement came shortly before President Trump confirmed that 'Israel' and Hamas had agreed to the first phase of the US peace plan, which includes the end of hostilities in Gaza and the release of all remaining captives.

Netanyahu did not mention any other procedures or plans for implementing the deal in his statement.
