Hamas agrees to Gaza ceasefire, deal set to be signed Thursday: Sources
Sources within the Palestinian resistance have told outlet al-Mayadeen that Hamas has agreed to a ceasefire deal in Gaza.
The agreement is expected to be officially signed on Thursday in Egypt, signaling a potential end to the recent hostilities in the region according to the sources.
At the same time, a note was passed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to President Donald Trump at the White House reportedly emphasized that a Middle East deal was “very close” and urged Trump to approve a Truth Social post so he could announce the agreement first, according to the Associated Press.
The note, marked at the top with the words “very close,” prompted Trump to remark: “I just received a note from Rubio saying we are close to a deal in the Middle East. They need me in another room shortly.”
