US police arrest 13 pro-Palestinian protesters in Boston after clashes

Authorities in the United States said they arrested 13 pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Boston after clashes with police sparked chaos and left four officers hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said all those detained during Tuesday’s protest were local residents aged between 19 and 27.

They are scheduled to appear before a judge on Wednesday and Thursday, mostly facing charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.

Local news footage showed protesters and police shoving and grappling, with some scuffling on the ground. One video captured demonstrators shouting “Let him go!” as officers restrained a protester.

The protest was part of a wave of demonstrations worldwide marking the second anniversary of the 'Israeli' genocide on Gaza.
