On October 7 Netanyahu pledges victory, Ben-Gvir vows retribution
On the second anniversary of the "Aqsa Flood” operation, Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, issued hardline statements reflecting their determination to continue the war.
Netanyahu pledged “victory,” while Ben-Gvir vowed that they “will not forget and will not forgive.”
An anniversary amid sensitive negotiations
These statements come on the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attack, which marked a turning point in the conflict.
They also coincide with indirect and sensitive negotiations in Egypt regarding the “Trump Plan” to end the war, placing these hardline positions in a complex political context aimed at sending messages both to domestic audiences in 'Israel' and to international mediators.
Promises of victory and red lines
Prime Minister Netanyahu posted a brief message on his Instagram Story, saying: “Together we will endure, and together, God willing, we will prevail.”
For his part, Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir said: “We will not forget and we will not forgive,” warning that Hamas must “under no circumstances be allowed to reemerge,” describing this as a “red line.”
