  • Qatar urges ‘Israel’ to halt Gaza operations under Trump’s plan, awaiting ceasefire outcomes.
  • Hamas-linked sources say indirect talks with ‘Israel’ in Egypt are “positive” so far.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Tuesday that ‘Israel’ should have ceased operations in Gaza already in line with US President Donald Trump's plan, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.

"We await the outcomes of the negotiations in the coming days regarding the ceasefire. This question should be directed first to the Israeli occupation government. It was supposed to actually cease fire if the statements made by the prime minister there regarding adherence to the Trump plan were true," Majed al-Ansari told reporters in Doha.

Hamas officials already highlighted to mediators that ongoing ‘Israeli’ strikes in Gaza pose a challenge in identifying the captives’ locations and ensuring their safe release.

Earlier Tuesday, two sources close to Hamas negotiators said that indirect discussions with ‘Israel’ have been “positive” so far in Egypt.

“Based on the Statement just issued by Hamas, I believe they are ready for a lasting PEACE. Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly!” Trump posted Saturday on Truth Social.
