The Yemen’s Houthis said early Wednesday, that they carried out a military operation in the Gulf of Aden, targeting a ship named MINERVAGRACHT.

The group said the attack was in response to the ship violating a ban on entering ports in "occupied Palestine."

MINERVAGRACHT is a cargo ship which is flying under the flag of the Netherlands.

The Houthis, since Oct. 7, have been targeting ‘Israeli’ or ‘Israeli’-linked ships in the Gulf of Aden, in support of Gaza amid the ongoing aggression.

Houthis said they hit the ship with a “winged missile” (cruise missile) and scored a direct hit, after which fire broke out leaving it at risk of sinking, according to the statement.
