‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Netanyahu plans to stall Trump's Gaza ceasefire plan: Hebrew Media
Sources close to ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu say he intends to follow a “stalling” strategy regarding the latest media-circulated US proposal to end the offensive in Gaza.
The ‘Israeli’ newspaper Jerusalem Post reported Sunday that Netanyahu seeks to buy time from Washington and avoid directly rejecting the plan, which US President Donald Trump is pushing for approval.

Earlier Sunday, however, Hamas released a statement refuting media reports that claim new proposals had been presented to them regarding a ceasefire deal, stressing that talks have been completely stalled since the attack on Doha Sept 9.
Still, analysts say Netanyahu faces pressure on two fronts.
Internationally, the Trump administration has expressed impatience for a swift end to the aggression.
Domestically, his hardline right-wing coalition partners oppose any agreement that does not guarantee the complete dismantling of Hamas and resist full withdrawal or major concessions in Gaza.
Observers say that requesting “amendments” is a common diplomatic tactic used to delay negotiations and weaken parts of the US plan that Israel’s right-wing coalition opposes.
The plan, circulating in the media, reportedly contains 21 points, including a full prisoner exchange, gradual 'Israeli' withdrawal, and a framework for Gaza’s post-war governance.
