Jordan Medical Association confirms participation in Sumud flotilla to Gaza

Dr. Muzaffar Al-Jalamdeh, Secretary-General of the Jordan Medical Association (JMA) and Chair of the Relief Committee, confirmed the participation of a Jordanian medical delegation in the international Sumud flotilla, which is preparing to sail toward the Gaza Strip in an effort to break the blockade.

In an exclusive statement to Roya on Saturday, Dr. Jalamdeh said, “This participation affirms the humanitarian and diplomatic role that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, plays in supporting the Palestinian cause and the people of the Gaza Strip.”

The Jordanian medical delegation includes specialists in vital fields and carries urgent medical aid, aiming to support the collapsed healthcare system in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Reports indicate that the IOF is closely monitoring the flotilla’s movements, making this humanitarian mission extremely dangerous amid threats from the occupation to attack the flotilla if it approaches Gaza’s shores.
