France, Germany, UK issue statement on ‘Israeli’ strikes on Doha

The foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom issued a joint statement condemning recent ‘Israeli’ attacks targeting Qatar’s capital, Doha, warning that the strikes could lead to further regional escalation.

The statement emphasized that the attacks pose a serious threat to chances of reaching a negotiated agreement and expressed solidarity with Qatar, praising its vital role in mediating between Tel Aviv and Hamas.

The ministers stressed the need to remain focused on achieving a lasting ceasefire in Gaza and highlighted the importance of delivering sufficient humanitarian aid to prevent famine in the territory.

The statement also urgently called for an immediate halt to ‘Israeli’ operations in Gaza City and demanded that the United Nations be allowed to operate safely throughout the Gaza Strip.
