Earlier Thursday, ‘Israel’s’ ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, defended recent airstrikes in Doha targeting Hamas leaders, saying they were responsible for attacks against Israel and were the “sole targets” of the strike.
The attack killed six people, including a Qatari security officer, and was condemned by Qatar as a “blatant violation of all international laws and norms.”
Qatar, which hosts Hamas’s political bureau and mediates Gaza talks, reaffirmed its commitment to continue diplomatic and humanitarian efforts to stop the bloodshed.
