Thousands of Gazans protest in “Coffin March” against ‘Israeli’ evacuation orders
Thousands of Palestinians in Gaza staged a symbolic march on Tuesday, defying the ‘Israeli’ military evacuation orders and demonstrating resilience against forced displacement and genocide.
The demonstration, called by popular and union groups as the “Coffin March”, set off from al-Saraya junction in central Gaza City.
Participants carried placards and chanted slogans affirming their determination to remain in their city and denouncing ‘Israeli’ crimes.
The name “Coffin March” symbolises protestors’’ readiness to sacrifice their lives and stay on their land “until the very last breath,” despite ‘Israeli’ threats.

The protest came just hours after the ‘Israeli’ army ordered all residents of Gaza City to evacuate immediately to the south, ahead of a large-scale ground operation.
Demonstrators said the procession was a direct popular response to those orders, sending a message to the international community that Gaza’s residents reject displacement and insist on remaining in their homes.
