Spain recalls ambassador from 'Israel' for consultations
The Spanish government has recalled its ambassador from 'Israel' for consultations, marking a significant diplomatic response to recent tensions between the two countries, according to Reuters.
This comes after Spain, under Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, announced nine measures against 'Israel', including a permanent ban on arms exports, closing Spanish ports to ships carrying weapons or fuel for the 'Israeli' military, restricting travel for individuals linked to war crimes, and banning imports from 'Israeli' settlements.

The government also pledged humanitarian support for Palestinians, such as food, medical aid, and funding for the Palestinian Authority.
Hamas welcomed the move, calling it a “significant political and moral step” and urging other nations to follow Spain’s lead.
Spain has been one of Europe’s strongest critics of 'Israel’s' war in Gaza, with Sánchez labeling it genocide and pushing for greater international accountability.
