Jordan education ministry denies rumors of Saturday school

Jordan’s Ministry of Education responded to rumors circulating on social media, definitively denying any intention to cancel Saturday as a weekend day for public and private schools.

The official clarification aims to halt the confusion that had spread among parents and students ahead of the new school year.

Ministry Confirms No Change to School Week

Ministry of Education spokesperson Mahmoud Hiasat told Roya that the ministry has not discussed or made any decisions regarding the issue.

He stressed that "everything that is being circulated in this context is inaccurate and incorrect, and is not based on any official information issued by the ministry."

Hiasat added that the topic of canceling the Saturday holiday "is completely off the table and incorrect," noting that the ministry does not know the source of the rumor.
