Abu Obaida assassination rumors "part of Israeli psychological war", says Hamas
Security forces of the Palestinian resistance have cautioned the public against recent 'Israeli' claims suggesting that Abu Obaida, the spokesperson for Hamas’s armed wing, had been assassinated in Gaza.
According to the resistance, these rumors are part of a deliberate 'Israeli' campaign designed to serve intelligence and psychological objectives.

The statement highlighted that 'Israeli' media is heavily controlled by the military and intelligence agencies, and nothing is published without prior security approval. Past incidents have shown that 'Israel' often spreads false reports about targeted leaders to manipulate their behavior, gather intelligence, and prepare for potential operations.
The resistance warned that such misinformation is part of a broader psychological warfare effort intended to destabilize internal morale and create confusion within Gaza.
Citizens were urged not to circulate these claims, emphasizing that these rumors are aimed at weakening public confidence and undermining the unity of the Palestinian front.
