'Israeli' artillery targets tents sheltering displaced in Gaza, leaving 15 dead
The Palestinian News Agency reported Saturday that at least 15 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded after 'Israeli' artillery shelling directly struck gatherings and tents sheltering displaced people in the Al-Nasr and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods of Gaza City.
Direct targeting of displacement shelters
Local sources said 'Israeli' artillery fired several shells that landed directly on tents housing displaced families in Al-Nasr, northwest Gaza City, and Al-Zaytoun, southeast of the city.
The shelling destroyed several tents and set them on fire, leaving numerous casualties among civilians who had sought refuge there.

Rescue and civil defense teams faced severe difficulties in reaching the targeted areas and recovering the victims due to the dangerous situation on the ground and the ongoing shelling nearby.
Casualties transported to hospitals
Medical sources at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City confirmed the arrival of 15 bodies and dozens of wounded, most of them women and children. Many injuries were described as critical or severe, raising fears that the death toll could rise.
Escalation of attacks in Gaza City
The attack came as part of intensified 'Israeli' air and artillery bombardment across Gaza City in recent hours, which also targeted the neighborhoods of Sheikh Radwan and Tel al-Hawa.
The 'Israeli' army has not issued any immediate comment on the incident, which struck areas crowded with displaced people, in what rights groups say constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law requiring the protection of civilians during war.
