'Israel' launches major strikes on Yemen’s capital
'Israeli' forces carried out a large-scale attack on Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, on Thursday, shaking the city with a series of violent explosions.
'Israeli' media sources claimed that the strikes targeted senior leaders of the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah).
The 'Israeli' Broadcasting Corporation described the operation as “exceptional and significant,” noting that the military aimed to hit top Houthi commanders, marking a serious escalation in the conflict between the two sides.
Widespread Airstrikes Rock the Capital
Eyewitnesses reported hearing 10 consecutive explosions across Sanaa, with one of the targets identified as Jabal Atan, west of the city.
Houthi-affiliated media described the attacks as an “Israeli aggression” on the capital, while Hebrew Channel 14 called the strikes “large-scale and extensive within Yemeni territory.”
Targeting Key Leaders and Naval Involvement
Hebrew media emphasized that the attacks were not random. Channel 14 reported that the strikes were aimed at “senior leaders,” a claim supported by 'Israeli' army radio, which said some strikes hit buildings believed to house high-ranking Houthi figures.
