Queen Rania highlights Gaza famine warning in Instagram story
Queen Rania of Jordan on Friday once again drew attention to the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the Gaza Strip by reposting an urgent warning from UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, confirming that famine has now struck Gaza City.
The move is part of the Queen’s ongoing efforts to raise international awareness and mobilize global public opinion over the unprecedented suffering of civilians in the territory.
Through Instagram Stories on her official account, Queen Rania shared Lazzarini’s stark message, which read: “Months of warnings have fallen on deaf ears. Famine is now confirmed in Gaza City.”
The post comes amid repeated UN alerts over worsening conditions in Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of displaced families continue to face food shortages, disease, and dire living circumstances.
