"My husband serves in Gaza": 'Israeli' teacher fired for sexually assaulting minors
A 43-year-old English teacher from Petah Tikva, 'Israel' has been permanently fired and banned from working with children for eight years after admitting to sexually assaulting two 17-year-old students, according to The Jerusalem Post.
During her disciplinary tribunal, the teacher said her actions were influenced by loneliness, as her husband was serving in the IDF reserves in Gaza. “I was lonely, and I made a terrible mistake,” she reportedly told the tribunal.
She invited three students to her home and had sexual relations with two of them over a period of four months, according to Ynet.
The Civil Service Commission’s court ruled the teacher unfit for any government role involving children, citing a severe breach of trust and violations of professional boundaries.
“This is shocking; we never imagined something like this could happen at school,” said one student’s father. “She wasn’t even our son’s teacher, and yet she crossed all limits.”
The State Comptroller’s tribunal described her behavior as “exceptionally severe,” noting it began with inappropriate interactions at school, escalated through social media, and culminated in sexual activity at her apartment. Officials said the conduct represents a serious violation of public confidence in the education system and parental trust.
The teacher pled guilty in a plea deal and expressed regret, stating: “It was a one-time incident, which I completely regret. My life is ruined.” She also claimed some media reports were inaccurate.
An official from the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in 'Israel' emphasized: “Sexual relations between a teacher and students is rape. There can be no free consent in such a relationship, and the severity of this case reflects the breach of trust involved.”
The criminal case was closed and the teacher was merely barred from working with minors in any government position.
