Jordan’s heat wave ends; moderate weather returns for weekend
After days of a severe heat wave, temperatures in Jordan are expected to drop significantly starting Friday. Normal, moderate summer weather is forecast to return to most of the country over the weekend.

The decline in temperatures will begin Friday, with a high of around 36 degrees Celsius (97 F) in Amman and surrounding highlands.
The day will be clear and sunny, with winds picking up in the afternoon, providing a sense of relief. Overnight, temperatures will drop to 21 degrees C (70 F), making for a clear and comfortable evening.
The weather will continue to improve Saturday, with highs reaching 32 C (90 F) and lows of 19 C (66 F). Conditions are expected to be clear both day and night.
On Sunday, scattered clouds will appear, but temperatures will remain within seasonal averages, with a high of 31 C (88 F) and a low of 19 C (66 F). The weather will be ideal for trips and outdoor activities.
The stable conditions will continue into the new week on Monday, Aug. 18, with clear weather and a high of 32 C (90 F) and a low of 19 C (66 F), maintaining moderate and comfortable summer conditions.
